Editor’s Note: We are taking a break this week on the blog from offering a new article by Dr. Randy White. Instead, we are providing a publishing update and a look behind our purpose in bringing you this material. Lord willing, we plan to resume next week with Dr. White’s ongoing, foundational series, called Understanding Dispensations. We hope that these posts will continue to be a blessing to you.

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. (2 Tim. 2:14-21)

Each week I have the joy of assisting Dr. Randy White in preparing a blog article that is derived from one of his online sermons. This approach to writing—creating a written piece out of a preached sermon—is time-honored and has been widely used. It is a great way to put a message given in one venue to use through an entirely different medium and format.

I am blessed as I work on these blogs both by the challenge of helping Randy put them together, and also by the content that I am working with.

Order Dr. Randy White’s latest book, a Bible chart book called “The Bible Graphically Presented.”

I have even coined a name for them: “Wednesdays with White.”

Now, if you have listened to Randy very much or for very long, you know that, for him, “Wednesday is midweek Bible study day”! He has presented Wednesday evening Bible teaching for years in the churches where he has served as pastor, and currently broadcasts these sessions from Taos First Baptist Church live on the Randy White Ministries YouTube Channel, where they may also be viewed in the archives—along with his Sunday School lessons, Sunday morning sermons, Ask the Theologian broadcasts, online Bible studies and other special presentations. Thus, it just seems natural to anchor our blog lineup by running our founder’s articles each Wednesday—”midweek Bible study day” and the center of the week.

Sometimes I fall behind and we run Randy’s writings on Thursdays, but somehow that just does not seem right. I will try to stick with “Wednesdays with White.”

I hope that you, like me, are blessed by this content. Perhaps your church does not offer a midweek Bible study, or maybe you are unable to attend it for some reason. Or you may need something to get you primed and ready for your service. In any case, we invite you to take some time each Wednesday to read and study the article, and follow along on the accompanying video. Make it your own little tradition! Then, while you are at it, keep reading the other great material on our blog—and maybe even share it with a friend.

We hope that you will be comforted and challenged, convicted and edified, as you read in the weeks and months ahead. May God help us to glorify Him through the study and proclamation of His eternal Word here at Dispensational Publishing House.
