DPH Publishes Second Charles Dyer Book: Five Golden Rings

  • Five Golden Rings - Charles Dyer

DPH is pleased to announce the pending release of Five Golden Rings: The significance of the five women in the genealogy of Jesus, by Charles Dyer.

Dr. Dyer is also the author of Future Babylon, published by Dispensational Publishing earlier this year.

Five Golden Rings is an easy-to-read informative short biography on each of the five women listed by Matthew in the genealogy of Jesus, the Messiah.

Tamar is the first and the least known of the five. According to Dyer, there are three different women with the name Tamar in the Bible, and each experienced sadness and tragedy. The Tamar of the Messianic genealogy is found in Genesis 38, was twice widowed, and is a story that is “both sordid and sad.”

Rahab is the second of the Five Golden Rings. She is mentioned eight times in the Bible, and five of those times is called a harlot! In spite of this, however, she holds a prominent role in the salvation of the Jewish nation, both through her actions and through her son, and his descendants.

Ruth is the third woman in the list, and also the third who is not from the nation of Israel. This Moabite woman, as many know, became the grandmother of King David, has a book in the Bible dedicated to her story, and plays an important and significant role in God’s grace of providing a Redeemer.

Bathsheba is not mentioned by name in Matthew’s genealogy, but she is certainly mentioned. Matthew refers to this fourth woman in the five golden rings as the one “who had been the wife of Uriah (Matt. 1:6, NKJV).

And finally, of course, Mary plays the most prominent role in the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. Mary, of course, fulfilled a prophetic role that had been foretold in numerous prophecies, not the least of which are Genesis 3:15 and Isiah 7:14.

DPH is pleased to continue its relationship with Dr. Dyer in Five Golden Rings.

The book is being sold now as a pre-publication, and will ship approximately December 1. These books are small in size (4 x 6 inches, 65 pages) and make a great small Christmas gift or stocking stuffer.
